Fashion Month is in full swing and with the London shows all wrapped up it was time to select my favourites and I was spoilt for choice! I loved the diversity with this seasons collections and have selected a range of designers that all brought something unique to the runway, I am feeling very inspired! Here are my top 6 from London with another post up tomorrow putting my favourite collection in the spotlight – All photographs are sourced from the Vogue website.
Pam Hogg – Spring/Summer 2018 – Ready To Wear – Take a look at the full collection here
I’m a sucker for tulle and Pam Hogg has left me completely shook with this collection. I love the mix of the intense pops of colour and the nude that flows through each look down the runway, the eye masks are fantastic accessories too. I love the mixture of different sized models that walked down the runway and the mixture of feminine and masculine silhouettes created within the looks.
Richard Quinn – Spring/Summer 2018 – Ready To Wear – Take a look at the full collection here
Intense and in your face prints? Nailed it. This entire collection concept is incredible with the runway backdrop and the full printed bodysuits underneath the garments. I’ve not featured a collection from Richard Quinn before but after seeing this season I’ve been looking at more of this work and it’s so inspiring. I’m obsessed with anything completely mad on the runway and this collection really got me excited to look at!
Ryan Lo – Spring/Summer 2018 – Ready To Wear – Take a look at the full collection here
I am completely speechless. This collection is so stunning with serious Japanese doll vibes and the colour palette is EVERYTHING with soft and sultry pastels head to toe. The floral macs are a favourite of mine and the fine print details on the range of fabrics used. Can I please go to Ryan Lo’s studio and play dress up?
Preen By Thornton Bregazzi – Spring/Summer 2018 – Ready To Wear – Take a look at the full collection here
Preen just blow me away every time, these looks are so effortlessly beautiful and ultra feminine which I love. The deep colour tones on sheer fabrics are so effective and the soft yellow is so gorgeous. I love the hair styling for the models, so chique and interesting but not too much to take your attention away from the garments.
Mary Katrantzou – Spring/Summer 2018 – Ready To Wear – Take a look at the full collection here
This collection has the noticeable Katranzou look with the bold intense prints but this season she has put in a sportswear edge on certain looks. The bold colour and print clashes are incredible and made me want to look at each outfit in detail, every time I look through the photos I find new hints of inspiration and that’s very hard to find with a runway collection. I loved the simplistic hair styling and the use of waterproof fabrics, this collection definitely has an edge to it and isn’t too ‘pretty’ like seasons past.
Simone Rocha – Spring/Summer 2018 – Ready To Wear – Take a look at the full collection here
Simone Rocha collections are so dreamy and this one does not disappoint. I love the panels on fabrics used and the hint of print and colour that were involved in particular looks. I’m usually not drawn to mainly white collections but there’s just something about this designers style, she can do no wrong in my eyes!
