It’s time to treat the Mama’s and believe me – there’s many a treat to share! Whether you’re treating a new Mum, the woman who gave you life or someone who is like a Mum, there’s an option for everyone. There’s stocking fillers, photo gifts and some gorgeous small businesses that I can’t wait to share with you all. So lets get stuck in, not long to go now until Santa arrives!
Sloom Co is ran by my lovely friend Jess! It’s a relatively new business and only launched in the last couple of months but has done extremely well so far. I was one of the first people jumping at a chance to purchase and try out the range of melts before she’d even launched! I am a huge wax melt lover and this year especially, has been a time to make your home as comfortable as possible. I am obsessed with Christmas fragrances and she sent over a range of Sweet Orange, Clean Cotton, Gingerbread and Cherry & Vanilla scents. The fragrance is boosted all over both floors of the house and I’ve been constantly burning them whilst I’ve been working from home. Since launching the brand, they have now expanded with a candle range which I cannot wait to get my hands on. I’m super proud of just how successful the brand has become in a small amount of time. If your Mum is into smellies then this would be a perfect addition to a Christmas gift!
My Picture is a brand that creates products from your own imagery. They have a large range of homewares from cushions and fuzzy photo blankets that are absolutely stunning. I’ve had professional shoot photos ready to blow up for framing or on Canvases* so this was the perfect opportunity as I’m having a move around of my photo wall in my living room. To bring me some cheer whilst I’m working from home I treated myself to a Photo Mug* (this will be living on my work desk when I’m finally allowed back into my office)! I chose one of my favourite photos from Evangeline’s birthday and it’s currently being used for my snuggly hot chocolate mug. I also ordered a Photo Cushion as a Christmas present which for obvious reasons has not been photographed! But I cannot explain how incredible the print quality is and just how soft and snuggly it is too! I’ll definitely be using their services again in the future for photo gifts and could not recommend them enough.
The next brand is Wild*, a current favourite product of mine that I haven’t been without over the last few months! I’ve tried a few solid deodorants over the years, many I’ve found too messy to apply or difficult to store and keep the quality of the product contained. This reusable deodorant is both beautiful to look at and simple to apply. The strong aluminium casing makes for the perfect protective shelter and when you lift the lid you’re hit with a real burst of fragrance. I’m 100% converted with this product and it’s the perfect sustainable swap. The brand truly values the environment and is eco-friendly from the products and right down to the packaging. They have Christmas Gifting Bundles available to purchase or you can customise the deodorant from case colour to a range of stunning fragrances to make it the perfect gift for the person in question!
The Token Hunter is the most stunning brand ran by my friend Heather. We previously worked together on a my Mother’s Day gift guide and her pieces that she kindly made for me have been something that I have honestly adored! The brand focuses on pictures and maps to create unique pieces to treasure. My favourite piece of all is the Geometric Bangle* that she made me with a photo of Evangeline and I and another photograph from the day that she was born. It’s one of the most stunning pieces of jewellery that I own and something that I love to wear when I’m away from my baby to still feel like she’s close. Another favourite piece was one of the Memory Charm Brooches* that I wear on my work lanyard. Heather will be celebrating her first Christmas as a Mum this year with her gorgeous little lockdown baby boy which will be truly magic!
The Little Art Shop* is ran by Demi who I met through Instagram this year! She specialises in lino prints, drawing and has just recently branched out into crochet crafts too! She reached out to me a few months ago to tell me that she was inspired by one of my makeup photos and had created a lino print of my face! I couldn’t quite believe it when she told me as I never thought that I would be any kind of “muse” for someone’s work. I especially didn’t expect anyone to want to do something creative with my face and took it as a massive compliment! I vaguely remember attempting to do lino cutting at college and it was such a difficult and long process. This lino print was stunning and absolutely faultless, she kindly sent over a few different prints and cards for me to keep. Along with her artwork she also does custom orders, so if you’re looking for something extremely unique and special then get in touch. It’s so lovely to give some spotlight to a small business that’s just started to bloom!
Little Child is one of the most stunning little businesses that I found this year on Instagram! As soon as I found their account I completely fell in love with the mix of simplicity yet highly detailed hand drawn designs. The brand specialise in ornaments made from air-dried clay and hand painted with fine detailing. I purchased some of their limited edition Halloween fridge magnets that I adore! Fridge magnets are an important part of trips to my Mum’s house, Evangeline is obsessed with playing with all of them on my Mums fridge for hours! There are a large range of magnets and gifts for animal lovers, they are the perfect addition to your shelves and magnetic surfaces. I’ll definitely be purchasing more in the future and they make for the most gorgeous dainty stocking fillers!
The next items are from Ellis James Designs and are perfect for the organisation enthusiasts! This is my Mum ALL over, everything is in some kind of order in her handbags and she will absolutely love these storage gifts from the brand. I was kindly sent their Large Cosmetic Organiser* and Travel Jewellery Keeper* and have thoroughly enjoyed making great use out of them! These organisers are absolute game changers for travelling and keeping every secure and safe. The jewellery keeper is a favourite of mine, inside you’ll find multiple fabric hooks with press studs, that you can attached chains and bangles to. There’s a removable compartment inside to keep previous jewels and rings and also an earring holder which is a dream for me as I’m always taking my Pat Butcher collection around with me! The cosmetic organiser is the perfect size for storing large makeup palettes and everything that you would need, it’s even large enough for storing haircare products too. In the zip lid there are compartments for storing makeup brushes to make everything easily accessible and make up on the go so much simpler! This could also be doubled as a baby cosmetic bag and would be perfect for any new Mums. I think that any Mum would find this extremely handy and it’s the perfect addition to the gift guide!
And finally we something for the beauty enthusiast Mum! Tweezer File* is a diamond plated stainless steel blade, that is designed to sharpen tweezer blades. This tool was created to last a lifetime, and to also make the most of the tools you already have at home last so much longer. I found in the past that tweezer blades can blunt quite quickly, this is all dependant on how much money you’re prepared to spend on them! Blunt tweezer blades are a nightmare to use and can make the process so much more difficult. It also leads to multiple pairs of tweezers thrown away and repurchases that may not even be necessary! This is a must-have beauty bag product, it’s simple to store and created to give your well loved products some extra life.
