ALDI BABY AND TODDLER EVENT APRIL 2019

Today we did our monthly trip to Aldi for our essentials but this was perfectly timed with this season’s Baby & Toddler event. This is the fourth event at Aldi that Paul and I have been to and we’ve always taken advantage of the deals and products that it has to offer! Seeing as we’ve all been off today I thought I’d throw together a quick post to show everyone what we picked up and to inspire some parents/parents to be that may not have popped along to their local store yet. The Baby & Toddler event launched today so you’ve still got loads of time to bag something fab at an amazing price online or in store!

If you’re a reader of my blog you will know that I did a post all about affordable weaning essentials where I spoke about the range of food for babies from the Mamia range at Aldi. Evangeline is more confident with food every day especially now she has teeth but she still has a range of purees and snacks along with trying meals that myself and Paul eat. We grabbed some boxes of the Stage 1 fruit purees that she loves, these are great by themselves or mixed in with porridge oats. I wanted to try her out with some snacks she was yet to have so we purchased some of the rice cakes and she absolutely loves them! We also grabbed some of the yoghurt pouches and the singular pouches with varied flavours; the carrot, parsnip and apple one is her favourite and these are great when you’re out and about! Along with the usual range, they had some special-buy products for the event including some Heinz products, Evangeline absolutely loves the Biscotti biscuits and they had baby pasta shaped like Peppa Pig so we’re excited to try her with it one night this week!

The main thing I wanted to get my hands on were the sleeping bags, Eve has slept in a sleeping bag since she was about 2 months old but we needed to get one with a lower tog due to the heat and it now going into the warmer months. They have released 5 different designs that are a 1.5 tog which is perfect for her to be snug and cosy yet not too hot in bed. We were spoilt for choice with the designs but decided to purchase the rainbow and unicorn print baby sleep bags that were £9.99 each. We always buy the Lily and Dan packs of 3 vests and sleepsuits in the next size up, they are such good quality and wash really well too. I love the range of designs of the Lily and Dan range but we decided to go for the clouds and panda designs this time round. The packs of 3 bodysuits were £3.99 and packs of 3 sleepsuits with £6.99, such amazing value!

Along with everything photographed above we also grabbed a pack of 48 Mamie Ultra Dry Nappies (£2.89) and a 12 pack box of Mamia Sensitive Baby Wipes (£5.69) which we have used on her since birth. We were so happy with everything that was on offer in our local store and you can take a look at the website for more products from big brands including Tommee Tippee, Nuby and Bambino! There’s so much choice including highchairs, baby baths, pushchairs, weaning plates, cutlery, books, toys and bedding. These events are amazing for babies at all stages, they really cater well from newborn upwards and it’s something that we always look forward to!
