MORPHE MAKEUP BRUSHES – MY COLLECTION AND BRUSH CLEANING ROUTINE

When it comes to makeup brushes it can be a struggle to find the perfect set or individual brushes for you, everyones needs are completely different! I have previously used brush sets from places like Superdrug, Boots and Sephora but in the last year I have revamped all of my brushes to Morphe Brushes. I have been so impressed with them in every possible way from the pricing to the size and quality of the brushes and i’m constantly recommending them to people who are looking to try something new and affordable!

Not only do Morphe do Makeup Brushes, they also stock their own range of makeup pallets from eyeshadows, contouring and blushes! You can shop directly onto the Morphe Brushes website to get the best offers/discounts but there is a charge for international delivery, I myself have never personally used the Morphe website due to there being a large variation of UK stockist! CultBeauty, CocktailCosmetics and BeautyChamber all stock Morphe, each website offers a different range of brushes and pallets for you to take a look at. I originally was drawn to the Elite Brushes due to NikkieTutorials and MannyMua using them a lot in their videos, I bought a few recommended brushes and chose a few that I thought I would get along with so I had a range of brushes for my entire face.

E24 Bullet Crease Brush – $6.99
The best brush ever for applying eyeshadow to your lower lash line or to experiment with a cut crease, it makes blending out colours so easy and is one of my all time favourite brushes that I can’t go a day without using.
E21 Deluxe Angled Blending Brush – $ 5.99
Perfect for a transition colour shade or an eyeshadow base, extra fluffy and gentle to your eyes when applying products.
E14 Oval Shadow Brush – $6.99

Packs on colour so easily onto your eyelids and into your crease, the brush holds a lot of product so you can really boost the colour when applying.
E50 Mini Tapered Highlight Brush – $14.99
The perfect sized brush for highlighting your cheekbones, holds a lot of product and is my go to brush to give me a glow.
E26 Oval Foundation and Concealer Brush – $12.99
This double ended brush is perfect for me to take on the go if I don’t have a lot of room for lots of brushes, it applies my foundation and concealer flawlessly and makes life so easy.
E3 Precision Pointed Powder Brush – $16.99
This brush is amazing for a variety of different products, from translucent/setting powder to blushes and bronzers. It’s the perfect size, so fluffy and makes everything so easy to blend out!
E29 Angled Brow and Spoolie Brush – £3.99
The best brush for most amazing price! Double ended and the perfect size for tending to your brows. Includes a spoolie which is amazing for combing your stray brows back into place.

These particular Elite Brushes have been discontinued but they have been replaced by the Elite II Collection that is permanent. The new collection stocks the same brushes which I have linked, they have been improved with softer bristles to be more gentle and are a different hair colour. I’m hoping to stock up on some more of the Elite brushes in the future as the quality of them is second to none and I have been so thoroughly impressed with the ones that I had picked out for myself.

This particular set is a variation of brushes for every part of your face, there is a good selection of face and eye brushes as different products work better with certain brushes. It also comes in a leather look roll which is great for storing your brushes on the go and is incredibly easy to clean by just wiping it down. I purchased this particular set from Cult Beauty – 11 Piece Pro Sable Set – £32.00

Pointed Liner Brush
I use this brush for gel eyeliner, it’s incredibly easy to use but I find that it needs cleaning after every use due to the build up of product on the brush which can make the bristles spike outwards.
Angle Liner Brush
The perfect sized brush for filling in your eyebrows, great to build them up a little bit at a time and very versatile for different products.
Pencil Brush
The bristles on this brush are quite stiff compared to some of the softer brushes, it can feel quite harsh on your eyes so it isn’t particularly one of my favourites or the first brush that I would reach for when doing my eye makeup.
Round Blending Brush
This is the perfect fluffy blending brush for eyeshadow, it’s the perfect size to get right into your crease and is extra soft for a comfortable application/blend.
Concealer Brush
Works great for concealing the under eyes and when I use my cream contour kit, I then use a beauty blender to even everything out afterwards.
Tapered Blending Brush
Again this particular brush has quite harsh bristles but it’s lovely for a gentle highlight when using a small brush on your brow bone.
Flat Foundation Brush
I use this for my foundation, it goes on so easily and the brush is so gentle on your face, I prefer a flat foundation brush as it’s easier to get the product into the curves of your face.
Medium Powder/Bronzer Brush
The super soft bristles make it so simple to apply bronzer and the brush holds a lot of product.
Angle Blush and Contour Brush
I love angled blush brushes as it really gets into the cheekbone area when applying a blush, this brush is perfect for the job.
Duo Fibre Foundation Brush
This is a fantastic stippling brush to apply foundation, it gives you a really good coverage and doesn’t hold much product deep into the bristles of the brush. When I use a stippling brush I usually clean up any little lines with a beauty blender.
Large Powder Brush
I use this for setting my foundation and concealer with my translucent powder and also use it to bake when I contour.

In my opinion some of these brushes are a lot better than others but for the price I really can’t complain. Also with my Elite brushes I have found the perfect combination and have found uses for all of my brushes when it comes to certain products and looks. The brushes in the set cannot be bought separately however Morphe have a lot of similar brushes that can be purchased separately at amazing prices, I would definitely recommend investing in a more expensive brush set or choosing to buy the brushes that you’ve hand picked yourself of a higher quality.

In the past I have used a variety of products to clean my makeup brushes, from shower gels to baby shampoo, I bought this Pro Hygiene Collection Makeup Brush Cleaner as an absolute gamble to spend enough money for free delivery and I have been so impressed with it! All you need to do is spray the bristles of your dirty brush and wipe it onto tissue and the excess makeup comes right off! The time it takes obviously depends on how dirty your brushes are or how much product is trapped within the bristles but my brushes literally feel brand new once they have dried. The bottle is a great size and is only £10.00 to purchase from a choice of different websites, I’ve linked it on the Cult Beauty website above.
